CDI Global’s 2020 Annual Meeting Rescheduled

CDI Global has rescheduled the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of its partners for the first time in our company’s history. Originally our 2020 AGM had been scheduled for September 13-16, 2020, taking place in Seattle, Washington. Now, the official 2020 and 2021 AGMs will be combined together and held June 20-23, 2021 in Seattle at the Marriott W Hotel. We are rescheduling due to health and safety concerns for our attendees and the travel restrictions in place due to the ongoing pandemic. CDI prides itself on our global community and we want to allow more of our members and partners the opportunity to attend by advancing the meeting to next year.

In place of the fall AGM meeting, CDI Global is holding a virtual meeting during the original September 2020 dates. The event will be held through a video conferencing platform with a series of virtual meetings and webinars. Several interactive sessions are also anticipated, including an electronic deal exchange, industry updates, and other programs. To try to accommodate as many time zones as possible we plan on running the program during two or three half-day sessions.

“Postponing the AGM was a hard decision because we so strongly value those personal interactions, but the virtual format presents a new opportunity to connect to a wider audience,” said Jeffrey Schmidt, executive managing director at CDI Global. “Because we have such a large global network, not everyone is able to travel to our annual conferences. We’re excited to include more members due to the virtual format.”

CDI Global is dedicated to fostering social interactions between its members and clients in order to bring the global community together. One of CDI’s differentiators is our more than 40 offices around the world function seamlessly as one firm. This is key to our continued middle-market transaction success. Our members work together to capitalize on the opportunities of the global marketplace for their clients. Despite social distancing and difficult travel restrictions, CDI Global continues to execute cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises and other vital transactions. Virtual interaction helps us achieve this, and we are excited at the opportunities the new September program presents to take advantage of technology in new and creative ways. The newly formed virtual program, along with the newly scheduled AGM, will continue to strengthen CDI’s vibrant and active international community.
