CDI Global advises American Colors, Inc. on the acquisition of Colorificio Migliavacca

American Colors, Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio, has completed the acquisition of Colorificio Migliavacca of Bergamo, Italy.

Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of American Colors, James Oram Wible, stated, “We have been searching for the right partner in Europe and we have found that in Colorificio Migliavacca. We are excited that they have decided to join us.”

The strategic location is a fundamental part of the company’s expansion  strategy to support and gain market presence in Europe.

Colorificio Migliavacca is over 110 years old and has received numerous awards over their history. The company is recognized for producing difficult pigment dispersions with excellent quality and service.

American Colors is a leading manufacturer of liquid colorants and specialty chemicals supplied to diverse applications that include paints, coatings, adhesives, composites, films, landscape & agriculture. Founded in 1975, the company has four manufacturing facilities in the USA and one in Shanghai, China.

Mr. Wible commented that “the addition of Colorificio Migliavacca will enable American Colors to service our customers on a worldwide basis, adding to our operations in the United States and Asia. We are excited that Roberto Migliavacca and Pietro Migliavacca will continue to lead the company.”
