Promotion of Rajesh Varma to Chief Strategy Officer

It is with great pleasure CDI Global announces the promotion of Rajesh Varma to Chief Strategy Officer.

Rajesh Varma, based in Mumbai, India, has been with CDI Global since April 2020. He has held several positions as the Managing Partner of CDI Global in India and is currently the Regional Managing Director for CDI Global BV representing the Asia-Pacific region. He also sits on the Managing Committee of CDI Global BV. 

“I am Delighted to have this opportunity to work closely with our Executive Managing Director and the Management Committee, to implement and execute our strategy over different time horizons. CDI Global has a 50-year-old legacy and we look forward to building on this to adapt to the changing needs of our clients, seize new market opportunities and ensure every member firm in the network is benefited,” said Varma.

Besides focusing on Company Search and Divestitures, Varma was an expert in the areas of Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk Management. He has acted as a consultant to several large Indian conglomerates and multi-national organizations operating in India across the Pharmaceutical, Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive and Infrastructure sectors.

Varma is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and brings in over 33 years of professional experience.

As CDI Global BV sets a course for growth and development over the next 5-10 years, creating the CSO position provides appropriate management focus within the Management Committee and organizational visibility within the overall CDI Global Network for current and future strategic initiatives and oversight of ongoing implementation. The CSO appointment also reflects the commitment of the CDI Global Board of Directors to act on the outcomes of the strategic review and to keep our strategic focus at the forefront of decision-making in the coming years.
