Lallemand has acquired Uruguayan company Calister S.A

Congratulations to CDI Global Latin America for another successful transaction.

CDI Uruguay (CDI Latin America) agreed on a sell-mandate with the Uruguayan company Calister S.A. (www.calister.com.uy).

Calister is the main Inoculants/Biological Company (Professional Seed Treatment) in Uruguay.

After working on the valuation calculations and CIM doc, CDI Latin America started working with Jocelyn Dumas and Jacques Drouin from CDI Canada in order to find the best candidate for this opportunity.

After an efficient research CDI Canada found the appropriate buyer, a Canadian Group called Lallemand www.lallemand.com (global leader in the development, production and marketing of yeast, bacteria and specialty ingredients).

Based on a great team-work between both CDI Offices, which was key to sort-out many difficult negotiations during the DD process, the deal was finally successfully closed on December 21st, 2017. The deal included a two-years earn-out to finish defining the total transaction value.

Again, this transaction shows the strength of the CDI network, where the transaction involved a global search and deal negotiations between entities located in Uruguay and Canada.
