Nasir earned his PhD, as a Fulbright scholar, in the field of cell and molecular biology from Colorado State University, USA and worked on a radiation biology project funded by NASA. To diversify his research experience in pharmaceutical sciences he was later awarded the coveted Charles D. Tenney post-doctoral fellowship, by the Tianjin University in China; where he was promoted as assistant professor. Besides being endowed with several academic awards and honors, Nasir has extensively published in peer-reviewed research journals in the fields of molecular radiation biology and molecular pharmacology/toxicology. Nasir frequently delves into cross-disciplinary research to multiply the research efforts and subsequent outcomes for human welfare. Over the last six years he has actively worked with robotics experts, software and hardware engineers, synthetic chemists, medicinal chemists and Bioinformaticians.  He has provided academic consultation services to IEACON, Sweden and volunteered with several non-profits such as United Nations Association of Northern Colorado and Fight Cancer Global, Texas. Having lived in China for 5 years, he has an in-depth understanding of the local biotech research landscape and uniquely couples it with his research experiences to provide valuable ideas about pharma/biotech industrial trends and forecasts for venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions.
