Experience & Qualifications

Werner has over 30 years of experience in M&A advisory and management consulting services within the forest industry cluster.

Werner holds the position as COO at Häggblom & Partners Ltd., which is an associate member of CDI Global and a leader of their global Wood, Paper and Packaging Products practise area. Werner holds a M.Sc. (Technology) from Helsinki University of Technology and CEFA, Hanken School of Economics. He started his career at former Jaakko Pöyry Management Consulting Oy, where he predominantly was engaged in and for several years responsible for their Corporate Finance practise area. He was also for a number of years employed by Pöyry Capital in London and headed Pöyry’s Management Consulting office in Sweden. Werner has also gained wide financing experience from his position as VP and head of export and project finance for forest industry at Finnish Export Credit plc.

 Werners engagement in corporate finance area have covered a broad range of services including; M&A advisory, privatisations, corporate strategies, restructuring, and due diligences. He has also extensive experience of assignments related to business development, investment and project analysis, and related financial planning and structuring. Client base includes forest industry entities, PE investors, private and public financial institutions, and government bodies by providing advisory services related to investments, PPP development and privatisations.
